Managing Partner Gail Beek Retires
WEXFORD, Pa. (Jan. 31, 2014) -- After 17 years of involvement and a 12-year partnership, Gail Beek resigned from Allegheny Commercial Real Estate Services (ACRES) on Friday, Jan. 31 to pursue retirement.
Beek started working with John Baun, founder of ACRES, to rehabilitate houses until they purchased land across the street from their office in Wexford. This purchase of property—known today as the StoneWood East and Copperleaf Corporate Office Parks—launched Beek's nine-year involvement as project coordinator.
Her efforts with the Stonewood East and Copperleaf Corporate Office Parkers included overseeing the development of the land, construction of the buildings from the ground up and placing tenants. And after working with ACRES for several years, Beek bought into the company in 2002 and became a managing partner.
“It's really been a blessing,” said Beek on her partnership with Baun. “John gave me tremendous opportunities and opened things up for me.”
When reviewing her career, Beek pinpointed integrity as the most important key to a successful career.
Operations will continue under the leadership of founder John Baun and sales associate Kate Edelmann.
“I met my future business partner at church 18 years ago,” said Baun. “From that ensued a relationship built around integrity, belief in God and trying to do the right thing for our clients. Gail left an indelible mark on the community and business associates that we dealt with.”
Established in 1995, ACRES offers a full range of real estate services including both tenant/buyer and landlord/tenant representation, investment sales, raw land sales, land development and commercial financing.
